Amber + Josh | Cass Winery, Paso Robles, Ca | Wedding

My friend Yolanda walked over to my cube (yes, in case you didn’t know, I work in an office M-F!) one day and said, “Hey! I want you to meet Amber, she is getting married next year and I told her about your photography, I really think you guys will connect!” I will always be grateful for the introduction!!

Immediately after talking to Amber, I wanted to jump up and down and say – OH PLEASE OH PLEASE HIRE ME!! I of course kept it cool and listened as she told me her and Josh’s story. I knew from the start, this would be an amazing wedding day – sure, the fact that it was going to be in Paso Robles, at a winery, under an old oak tree drew me in but it was her story and how her and Josh bonded that truly made me realize how beautiful their love is. I knew from our conversations that they would be surrounded by so much love and support and I consider myself very lucky to have witnessed and captured it all.

My friend and second shooter, Claudia, and I really loved exploring this venue and capturing the most precious moments for Amber and Josh. Everything from the giant sized tarantulas on property to sending them off with a glow stick tunnel was perfection. Please scroll down to check it out!

Theme or three words to best describe your day: Rustic Country Chic

Share your inspiration and the atmosphere you’re creating for your wedding.

Very Wine Country Chic!

What was your favorite part of the planning process?

I loved deciding on all the decorations and enjoyed getting my craft on!

Are there any special songs to be played for the processional, recessional, or first dances that have special meaning?

We are playing “You’re the Best Around” from the Karate Kid as we exit. Josh would always sing it to me and it’s so cheesy and fun.

Share how (or why) you chose your wedding venue(s).

We went to a wedding in Paso Robles when we first start dating and fell in love with the area. Cass Winery was recommended by that bride. We visited it, drank the wine and loved the food! It was an easy choice!

What is your most valuable piece of advice you can share with future couples?

Always give your partner the benefit of the doubt.

Congrats Amber + Josh!!

XO,

V
